The following is a release from Cenla Environmental Science:

The Plaisance Water System is repairing a leak off of Highway 182 between Compress and Dupre. All streets off of Highway 182 between Compress and Dupre may experience low to no water pressure during the leak’s repair.

Following the repair, the system will be flushed and a precautionary boil advisory will be issued for the affected area. It is recommended that all customers disinfect their water prior to consuming. Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. We will work to get the affected area back to normal activities as soon as possible.

Plaisance Water System will rescind this precautionary Boil Water Advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals that samples collected from the water supply system have shown the water is safe to consume without additional disinfection.
