Contractors will close Soileau Rd. east of Hwy 13 for culvert change outs. The road will be closed for most of the day tomorrow beginning at approximately 8:00am. Tonight at 5 p.m. - KATC's Kari Beal will have an update on the water situation in Palmetto. New tonight - only residents along Leger Road cannot drink the water, but are allowed to bathe and wash clothes. All other residents can use the water and drink without boiling it. Palmetto Elementary will now be open tomorrow.

Washington, LA, Ward 1 Precinct 6 Greater Union Baptist Church 1494 Hwy. 742, Opelousas, LA and Ward 1 Precinct 26 Ft. Hamilton/Coteau Sub Station 7706 Hwy. 31, Opelousas, LA. 
WHEREAS, The Louisiana Secretary of State has reviewed the voting districts and has approved the Mergers. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Council of the Parish of St. Landry, that:

As a part of the St. Landry Parish Smooth Ride Home rural road improvement program, Boxie Rd. will close on Tuesday for most of the day for pipe and culvert work.
