St. Landry Parish Government to Hold Public Hearing and Special Meeting 12-10-14

THE ST. LANDRY PARISH GOVERNMENT HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT IT WILL HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2014, AT 5:00PM AT OLD CITY MARKET LOCATED AT 131 W. BELLEVUE STREET, OPELOUSAS, LOUISIANA.
The hearings are for the purpose of receiving any and all objections from the general public in connection with the following:

5:00PM ORDINANCE NO. 2014-017: AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ADDITIONAL SALES TAX OF NOT EXCEEDING TWO PERCENT (2.00%) IN THE HARRY GUILBEAU AREA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, ST. LANDRY PARISH, LOUISIANA.

5:15PM ORDINANCE NO. 2014-018: AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ADDITIONAL HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX OF NOT EXCEEDING TWO PERCENT (2.00%) IN THE HARRY GUILBEAU AREA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, ST. LANDRY PARISH, LOUISIANA.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ST. LANDRY PARISH GOVERNMENT will hold a SPECIAL MEETING and will be held as stated below:

DATE: Wednesday, December 10, 2014
TIME: 5:30 P.M.
LOCATION: Old City Market, 131 W. Bellevue Street, Opelousas, LA for the following purposes, to wit:
1. Adopt Ordinance No. 2014-017: An Ordinance Levying an Additional Sales Tax of Not Exceeding Two Percent (2.00%) in the Harry Guilbeau Area Economic Development District, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
2. Adopt Ordinance No. 2014-018: An Ordinance Levying an Additional Hotel Occupancy Tax of not Exceeding Two Percent (2.00%) in the Harry Guilbeau Area Economic Development District, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
