Grand Coteau Cultural District

The historic town of Grand Coteau is noted for its magnificent trees that form alleys, groves, and gardens. Within the district there are more than 70 structures designated as architecturally significant. Local gift and antique shops and restaurants are housed in these historic buildings. The town is also home to the Academy of the Sacred Heart and St. Charles College, which was founded in 1837 as a Jesuit boarding school, now serving as a seminary and spirituality center.
